Colours of Summer

If I had to describe Kerala in a colour, GREEN would be apt. Even in the midst of summer, Kerala is filled with lush greenery...

When I was in there last week, I managed to photograph some of the other colours of summer along with the gorgeous shades of green.

Yes, I photographed the gorgeous bee :) Though it wasn't very happy having a camera pointed at it. And threateningly buzzed at me. I fled from the scene as fast as I could...

Here is one of my favourite colours.

Isn't it gorgeous?!

Below is a dew-kissed pretty flower but for a bitter fruit. This is the flower of the plant that bears the bitter gourd.

And what do we have here...

PINEAPPLE!!!

And here's more of them...

Raw mangoes on the mango-tree drenched in the summer showers.

Chambakkas too!! That's what these are called in Malayalam. I have no clue what they are called in English. These fruits are simply awesome - so juicy and crunchy and light and refreshing. Do let me know if you know the English name for these.

Update: Thanks to all who provided the English name of Chamabakka. It does have a lot of names - wax apple, love apple, java apple, Royal Apple, bellfruit, Jamaican Apple, water apple, mountain apple, cloud apple, wax jambu, rose apple, and bell fruit. The botanical name being "Syzygium samarangense". You can read more about it here.

Jasmine buds that blossom in the evening.

Moss covered walls are so beautiful. I absolutely adore them.

A curious looking plant er... flower..

Does anyone know what this is?

Update: Thanks to all who commented with the name of this flower. My aunt B pinged me with the botanical  name Haemanthus multiflorus and the common name Football Lily. It is also called Blood Lily or Fireball Lily as mentioned by the wonderful commentors.
